The human environment is pivotal component for the Economic, Social, Cultural, and Human Rights of individual both of national and international Hence, any deterioration to the human environment is considered as heinous crime against the posterity, which inter alia directs the international community to accept an erga omnes obligation for conservation. In 1992, for making the harmony between the economic development and the conservation of natural and biological resources, the concept of Sustainable Development was well highlighted. The Earth Summit directs the need for the conservation of natural and biological resources for safeguarding the present and future generations by its various guiding principles. The Summit also mandates the states to take appropriate economic and environmental policies for safeguarding the people from environmental deterioration. If at all, the states are flout the international responsibility it will lead to defeat of the real objectives and purpose of the United Nations Charter. |
