dc.description.abstractAn unprecedented economic determination of states demand an exhaustion of natural and biological resources through their scientific and technological development which causes Global Warming, The environmental threat is not an Climate Change, Ozone Depletion and Biological Diversity. imaginary. Hence, the environmental deterioration is making the economic insecurity both of nationally and internationally, as a whole. The human environment is pivotal component for the Economic, Social, Cultural, and Human Rights of individual both of national and international Hence, any deterioration to the human environment is considered as heinous crime against the posterity, which inter alia directs the international community to accept an erga omnes obligation for conservation. In 1992, for making the harmony between the economic development and the conservation of natural and biological resources, the concept of Sustainable Development was well highlighted. The Earth Summit directs the need for the conservation of natural and biological resources for safeguarding the present and future generations by its various guiding principles. The Summit also mandates the states to take appropriate economic and environmental policies for safeguarding the people from environmental deterioration. Even though the international community have been taking stringent measures to prevent and control the economic activity through the soft law and guiding principles some states are offset their international commitment. The developing states are not having adequate science and technology as equal as developed states. The "look east" for developing is not a licence to dump waste and hazardous technology. Hence, the developed states should come forward and adhere to the international responsibility. The members of the United Nations are having an obligation to maintain international peace and security under the Charter. If at all, the states are flout the international responsibility it will lead to defeat of the real objectives and purpose of the United Nations Charter.en_US
