Administrative machinery for development

Abstract

I am honoured to be given this opportunuty to speak on the subject of " Administrative Machinery for Development" at this seminar. I will begin with a brief description of the administrative machinery and its role in development. This is followed by a overview of the administrative machinery in Sarawak so that we can proceed to examine the challenges facing the administrative machinery in the right perspective. structural and psychological dimensions of the organisation are discussed and examined for possibilities but no solution is offered, only questions and guidelines to pursue the quest for an administrative machinery that is geared towards its role as the prime mover of development.
