Abstract: To enable comprehensive (though thumbnail) coverage of the subject "Industrial Development Policy and Prospects", intend to briefly touch upon the historical perspective of Malaysia's industrial development and development to-date, some of the problems relating to industrial development especially in respect of foreign investments and how the industrial development policy has been evolved to overcome these problems and to attain present and future targets. I will also talk briefly about the performance of the industrial sector and the future role and prospects for industries in Malaysia.
