Abstract: This study deals with identifying the attitudes that an employee possesses and how those attitudes are influenced due to the winds of globalization and corporatization. There were specific drives to end the hegemony of public bureaucratic structure of the organization and transform itself into a corporate body which has the bottom-line of profit. The study was undertaken in a public sector electricity service provider which has transformed from an electricity board or Government body to a corporate body with more submissive government control. The study found out the employee attitude parameters and status prior to corporatization and the employee attitudes after the corporatization of the company. This study attempted to identify the factors responsible for the status of the employee attitudes, the shift of the employee attitude prior and post the corporatization process and whether this shift in the employees were significant or not. Hypothesis testing method was used during the survey. The findings suggested that there were no significant changes if an electricity company is corporatized.
