Abstract: | In the history of Education in South Africa, an examination of the policy of the Apartheid era shows that the system created a culture of segregation that was instrumental in promoting inequality and discrimination. This article places an emphasis on understanding the educator's role of cultural transformation of the education system. In view of the past, a post apartheid educator should have a new vision and orientation as facilitator in the transmission of the culture of teaching and learning so that meaningful education should occur. The findings are of significance in promoting Nation Building and cultural identy for the people of South Africa |
