Abstract: | Food habits are being formed while the population is still young, and foods which are taken at school contribute a specific part of the children's dietary intake. The pattern of food habits of children in the primary school was studied. The types of foods sold in the school canteens were reviewed and the nutritional values of these foods were evaluated. The preliminary findings from some of the schools surveyed are presented in this paper. |
