Abstract: | This research was undertaken to provide a basis for policy and programme decision, in view of the important role of food habits in the improvement of food and nutrition problems. A total of 400 research-based information materials on food habits and related topics collected from institutional sources, were processed according to the mechanics of the studies, the highlights of findings from the studies and their implications. It was shown that malnutrition problems were basically derived from the complex relationships of the social, economic, cultural, and political factors, with the socio-economic aspect being the root cause. |
