Abstract: The capacity of palm kernel shell (PKS) to remove 17a-Ethynylestradiol (EE2) from water bodies was investigated. The significant factors influencing the removal of EE2 by PKS were concentration was done by applying the appropriate conditions of High-performance liquid determined by performing a series of screening experiments. Determination of EE2 significant factors in the adsorption process. Wavelength 280nm was found to give a better chromatography. Minitab version 16 and Design Expert Program were used to identify the reading for EE2 concentration in the Agilent High-performance liquid chromatography. In the screening experiment, EE2 concentration, PKS dosage, contact time, and temperature were insignificant. The surface functional groups and surface morphology of PKS were also found to influence the adsorption processes while shaking speed was found to be characterized by Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy and scanning electron microscopy.
