Abstract: | The part played by Indians and their friends in South-east Asia in the final stages of India's freedom movement, during the Second World War, is known to all students of Modern Indian History. But few are aware of the fact that similar attempts at organising armed attacks on the British Raj in India from South-east Asia, though on a smaller scale and under more difficult circumstances (because Japan was then an ally of Britain), were made by the Indian revolutionaries and their friends even during the First World War. |
