Abstract: | The main objective of this study is to examine the perception of the mentoring process from the perspectives of foreign students in Malaysia. One hundred foreign students who enrolled in 4 multi-disciplined private and public colleges and universities participated in this study. A two-part questionnaire comprising selected background data of the respondents, and three variables, trust, support and integrity which are found related to foreign students' mentoring need were used. Quality of mentoring at the faculty level is then assessed based on foreign students' perspectives. The findings from the study will enable private colleges and public universities to formulate effective mentoring strategies emphasizing foreign students' need in the context of trust, integrity and support, which will allow them to experience higher satisfaction in their college life. |
