Abstract: | This article discusses application of the marketing concept and strategic marketing planning to government policy decisions concerning international trade relations and export promotions. Several concepts are discussed in relation to improving trade relations, and a macro model developed in 1983-1984 for the Quebec (Canada) government ls used to illustrate public efforts to better serve Japanese markets. |
