Abstract: Melamine formaldehyde resin (MF) is commonly known as melamine. Melamine is one of popular thermosetting plastic which used for tableware products and cannot be melted or re-shaped after being cured. Scrap and waste melamine was created in manufacturing processes and it is cannot reformed or reused. The previous study was reported that recycled material from waste melamine can be formed by either cold or hot forming processes. Therefore, this study aims to study the joining process for recycled material from waste melamine after formed by cold molding process. The Specimen was prepared by mixed virgin melamine and waste melamine particles at ratio 80:20, formed by cold compression molding, pre-heated and sintered. The 23 Factorial design technique was employed to screen joining factors, temperature, time and water content. The flexural strength of joined specimen was evaluated. This work are expected to propose the choices to make value added in reusing of waste melamine.
