Issue Date: | 1823 |
Description: | "An illusion that they are united in the self, and all the sensible things call to the sense instruments and are divided into them, so the sense faculty perceives them. The second type is powerful that perceives from within. Some of them perceive the images of the sensible things, and some of them perceive the meanings of the sensible things. The difference between the two sections is that the form is the thing that the rational soul and the apparent sense perceive together, but the sense perceives it first. And He brings it to the soul, like a sheep perceiving the image of a wolf. As for the meaning, it is the thing that the soul perceives from the sensed object without the sense perceiving it first, such as the sheep perceiving the opposite meaning in the wolf that causes it to fear it. Among the internal perceptions are some that it perceives and does, and some that it perceives and does not do, and the difference between the two types is that the action is in them. It is that the perceived images and meanings are combined with each other and separated from each other, so that there is perception and action also in what is perceived. Perception, not with action, is that the image or meaning is apparent only in the force without having an action. Among the inner perceptions are those that are perceived first, and among them are those that are perceived secondly. It is about him and he disposes of it." |
