Abstract: This paper examines the impact of the recent corporate governance reform both on the ownership of Italian listed companies and the liquidity of stocks. The results show a higher ownership concentration, in contrast with the data concerning the determinants of stocks liquidity which highlight a tendency of the market to reward the companies with higher percentage of free float.
