Abstract: | This survey paper discusses research issues of digital inpainting and video falsifying. Image inpainting completion methods use textural synthesis and pixel interpolation techniques to remove defects or user selected objects. Some image inpainting techniques also can be applied to 3D surfaces, to cope with holes not covered by a 3D scanner. On the other hand, detection of scratches and spikes in aged film are challenge and mandatory. In addition, tracking methods identify objected that can be removed from video, with a consideration of temporal continuations. After objects and background are extracted from video by using techniques mentioned above, an robust video falsify procedure was adopted to change the content of video. |
