Abstract: | The amount of plastic debris known as micro-plastics has been increasing every year globally. This research was carried out to propose an alternative way to reduce the usage of plastic utensils, specifically plastic spoons in the community by using a new fabricated biodegradable spoon known as "Infinity Spoon". The methodology involved making zero-plastic spoon waste using a specific mould and food grains that is durable enough to last a meal, low cost and environmentally friendly using different types of healthy food. Test and observations were conducted to obtain the best ratio of 5:4:2: I using the food materials component for the spoon to work efficiently. The new spoon was also tested for the durability and environmentally friendly factor. From the results and product, it can be concluded that this spoon is able to replace the plastic spoon and help save our planet in the near future. |
