Abstract: The younger generation are often concerned about their personality, particularly related to appearance. Cosmetic products sold in the market has a variety of chemicals that can affect health. For the skin creams produced, wasted cooking oil (WCO) from palm oil is used. Wasted cooking oil is much thrown into the drainage system that can cause water pollution. According to statistics, an average of wasted cooking oil is generated for every household in Malaysia is 2.34 kg/month. Studies have been conducted to test the ability of the wasted cooking oil to make products such as skin creams through the purification process and the process of cream-making. To generate clean wasted cooking oil, the oil is purified by sedimentation using clay and activated carbon and then heated with ginger slices. In order to produce skin creams, the purified oil is mixed with the basic ingredients for making cream such as beeswax, surfactants, preservatives and water. Additives such as guava and orange peel extract are also used to produce this product. Among the functions of guava is to help the growth of smooth and healthy skin, as well as an antioxidant agent to slow the aging process while orange peel acts as an astringent to balance skin tone and also slows down the aging process. The safety of the product is ensured by the usage of natural materials such as guava and orange peel instead of hazardous chemicals that may affect their health. By producing this skin product, skin problems related to the younger generation can be overcome thereby boosting their confidence.
