Abstract: The efficiency of radiotheraphy treatment by using gamma radiation has been reduced to one??third of efficiency due to the size of tumor cells that is several centimetres bigger. As a result, hypoxic tumor cells and anti-oxidative enzymes was present in a large number. The most effective method is by injecting hydrogen peroxide into the tumor cells. However, hydrogen peroxide is an antiseptic agent for skin lesions. Therefore, injection into an affected region will possibly caused an intra-arterial oxygen embolism. This research is conducted in order to find out the most suitable combination of drugs that contains hydrogen peroxide to relieve local pain at the injection site and at the same time preserve high intratumoral oxygen concentration. As a result, sodium hyaluronate-hydrogen peroxide has been identified as the most effective combination for the preservation of oxygen in the hypoxic tumor cells. Therefore, the concentration of oxygen can be preserved for at least one hour before the next sodium hyaluronate-hydrogen peroxide injection in the hypoxic tumor cells.
