Abstract: As Malaysia celebrating 50 years of independence; this shall be the right time to search and track and record the planning and development of health care buildings design in Malaysia so that a guideline can be established as reference to a better planning and development of better future health care buildings in the years to come. This would be helpful to the nation and MOH in taking the challenge of achieving health goals of Vision 2020. This research intended to become the pioneer research and pointers to further research of the Medical Architecture Research Group under the subgroup of Sustainable Research group of Dept. Of Architecture, UKM; the group is set with the intention of developing expertise that would be able to provide advice and consultation to design, planning and development of the future better health care buildings for the nation.
