Abstract: | Hardware-In-Loop (HIL) is a technique for control engineering testing which consists of two design parts, a real hardware design and a computer simulation design. In this paper, input signals can be obtained from the sensors while the output results of the engine combustions are generated from simulation based on mathematical model. The controller for Air-Fuel Ratio (AFR) is built to the hardware. Basically, testing using this method can reduce the cost and time-to-market the development process. Once the real time simulation results satisfy the desired result, the design will be burned into the hardware controller and hence the system will be tested again. Both simulation and hardware results are then being compared. The main purpose for the HIL system is to develop new control algorithms as well as to control the effect of errors from sensors and engine combustion. |
