Abstract: This study investigates the torques produced at the ankle joint while skipping activity. A 2D model is developed for two segments of the lower limb, comprising of the foot and shank segments using Kane's Method. A female subject participated in the study. The experiment is conducted using three infra-red cameras and Vicon-Nexus system for digitizing process. The data produced from the experiment are set as input in the model. The torques produced are compared between left and right foot. Results show that torques at the left ankle joint is higher than that of the right ankle joint.
