Abstract: | Mango Seed Weevil (Sternochetus Mangiferae) is one of the important pests of Mango. Due to its significance as a Phytosanitary Pest, a survey was conducted to determine its present status in Sarawak. Twelve fruits from eight mature trees were randomly selected from major commercially grown orchards in Samarahan and Betong Divisions. Results indicated that the pest is still absent in the two divisions. Therefore, quarantine restrictions of movement of Mango fruits from outside Sarawak is necessary. |
