Abstract: Two effective Bacteria Alcaligenes Faecalis (KM220771) and Bacillus Amyloliquefaciens (KM220772) isolated from Rhizosphere of Rock Melon in TPU (UPM), Selangor State, Malaysia, were evaluated for its activity in suppressing the Mycelial growth of Fusarium Oxysporum f. sp. Melonis causal agent of Fusarium Wilt in vitro. The two isolates showed their different mechanisms of action in controlling Fom, as they produced antibiotic substances which prevent the fungal mycelial growth from 92.05% up to 93.18 and spores germination by 100% compared with control. Moreover, not only they inhibit the fungal growth by producing diffusible metabolites (88.07% and 86.36%) they also restricted the Mycelial Fungal growth through the volatile metabolites. GC-MS analysis of the chemical composition of the extraction of antifungal compounds from the culture filtrate of B. Amyloliquefaciens and Alcaligenes Faecalis showed a total of 9 and 20 compounds respectively. The Pyrrolopyrazine Alkaloid compound was detected by GC/MS for both isolates which displayed significant biological activities against tested fungus. Thus, the isolated extracts could be of use for the future development of antifungal agents. This study conveys that B. Amyloliquefaciens and A. faecalis have proven to be an efficacious and promising biological control agent of Fusarium Wilt, yet B. Amyloliquefaciens conveys a more significant effect upon fungal isolate in correlation to A. Faecalis.
