| Abstract: | Melaka occupies the most prominent position of all the Malaysian states in so far as Malaysian history is concerned. It deserves the special attention that befits a city with a unique historical tradition and a rich cultural heritage. Melaka is indeed a historic state because, from its establishment in 1400 A.D., and its emergence as a City and Kingdom, it has in one way or other left its mark on the history of Malaysia.
