| Abstract: | This paper examines the involvement of marketing in what has been found to be the negative impact of technology transfer and development on Third world women. Since a successful development strategy must fully integrate women, the paper suggest that marketers not only have much to gain from supporting a transfer of technology and a development strategy sensitive to gender rules but that their techniques have much to offer in facilitating it. |
