Abstract: The bigger Swedish firms have been active in export for almost 100 years now and are very successful . The smaller firms, however , are facing great difficulties in exporting their products. The lack of resources, know- how to engage in international marketing and severe competition from local and foreign bigger firms are some of the reasons for these difficulties.
