Abstract: | It is not the intention of this paper to deliberate on the processes involved in educational planning: identification of problems, statement of objectives, consideration of alternative means of meeting the objective, allocation of resources to the most effective projects, co-ordination of the various projects into a unified whole . implementation and evaluation, both in terms of how well they achieved their physical targets and how well they accomplished their educational objectives. Instead, this paper attempts to highlight the macroplanning procedure of the Ministry of Education and the agencies that are responsible for educational planning. The projection of the school-age population is then chosen only to illustrate the steps involved in the planning process. |
