There are many factors related to effective hotel management. Although these factors can be organized into some classification schemes, some of the factors are highly correlated. It is very likely that there exist some common characteristics among these factors. This study attempts to explore the possible characteristics among them by the method of principal components analysis. Our results show that two factors, namely, 'space factor' and 'time factor' could be derived from these correlated factors. The implications of these factors are also discussed.en_US
