| dc.description.abstract | We have entered 1982. Ten years now have passed since the holding of the United Nations Conference on Human Environment in Stockholm. These ten years have been a period of fundamental changes. We are today witnessing environmental problems of a character and of a scope that were not even conceived of at the time of "Stock- holm". They have to be met by action. Since "Stockholm" we have seen the emergence of a global energy crisis; with many facets permeating most aspects of economic and social development. All countries do face a time of enormous efforts to make a transition of and building up new energy systems. Environment must be in focus when decisions are taken on the creation of a new energy system. Let me illustrate with a few concrete examples. | en_US |
