This paper tries to search for causes of Taiwan's success in economic development from the viewpoint of industrial organization. As we know, a policy package of export-led industrial strategy adopted in the late 1950s has led export to be regarded as an engine of Taiwan's economic growth (Chou 1985). However, what kind of business organization or firm size starts this engine is not very clear yet. The purpose of this study is o fill up this gap from examining the relationship of firm size and export performance.en_US
