Cultural diversity in national unity - the Malaysian experience

Abstract

In this short paper we shall attempt to discuss the subject of cultural diversity in national unity as it relates to the Malaysian experience. For the purpose of this paper culture is broadly de- scribed as the basis in which a society organises its system of values and its consciousness. National unity herein is defined as the basis upon which a national society holds itself together as a cohesive unit with its own identity and character.
