dc.description.abstractThe manufacturing sector of Peninsular Malaysia, relatively all though in terms of contribution to the CDP, is increasingly regarded as the leading sector which will contribute most to the growth of output and employment. The share of manufacturing in the DP jumped from 8.6 percent in 1960 to 17.1 percent in 1973 while its share in employment increased from 8.4 percent in 19652 to 10.5 percent in 1970.en_US
