The abstract is about the creation of the European identity. As the European Union is ending the economical cooperation and the economical agents are changing their loyalties from the national level to the European level, the organization needs to create a new identity to change the loyalty of the people of Europe from the national level to the European. The paper touches the main points in the creation of any national identity and the steps that the EU should follow in its attempt. European symbols, as a flag, anthem, no inner borders, different sport competitions as the Ryder Cup, different contexts, as Eurovision, and political facts, as a common Parliament or a future Foreign Affairs Minister, have failed to convey to people a European spirit of community, basic for the survival of the organization and its transformation in a supra national State. So, the abstract analysis what has been done in order to achieve a European identity and more important what should be done in the future to strengthen the European identity.en_US
