Before I touch on the subject proper, it might be useful to deal generally with the subject of success in business. For this purpose, I can do no better than refer to an incident which occurred nearly 60 years ago in Europe. This may seem far-fetched, but when I finish my account, you will understand what I have in mind. The year was 1919, and the scene is the city of Versailles in France, which was the venue of the Peace Conference held after the end of World War I. The British delegation included a young economist by the name of John Maynard Keynes.en_US
