The effectiveness of the Malaysian studies course in fostering patriotism among students in private higher educational institutions

Abstract

This study was designed to analyze and compare the level of patriotism awareness among students before and after completing the Malaysian Studies courses. A lot of 150 student s had been chosen from two Private higher Educational Instituions (PHELSS) namely Multimedia University and Linkokwing University college of Creativity Technology. The data collection had been conducted in two phases that is pre-tesr and analyzed using descriptive statistical analysis such a s means, percentage and frequency. Besides, inference statistical analysis that is paired sample t-test had also been used.
