Abstract: | In this paper, the ImageStation digital photogrammetric product line is presented. This includes a discussion of the hardware, the software, and the typical end-to- end digital workflow that is intended for the system. The ImageStation product line is the basis for an end-to-end digital photogrammetric mapping system. Introduction Intergraph has long been a leader in new photogrammetric mapping technology. In 1976, Intergraph successfully interfaced our interactive graphics system to analog stereoplotters allowing computer aided drafting to be used directly from encoded stereoplotters. In 1982, Intergraph introduced the monochrome InterMap terminal, a graphics terminal specifically designed to provide an efficient and ergonomic interface to stereoplotters. The InterMap brought such innovations as graphic superimposition, dynamic pan and zoom, voice recognition, and voice synthesis to the production environment and is still widely used in production today. In 1985, Intergraph introduced the InterMap Analytic, an instrument that combined the proven high-quality optics and electronics of a Zeiss viewer with a high- performance color graphics terminal with integrated color superimposition. |
