Definite relicts of high sea levels 13-15 ms. and 23-25 to znoids ms. above present mean sea level along the east Johor. not coast and 8.5-10.5 ms. in the northwest of Peninsular Malaysia very probably represent paleo-geoids configurations different than the present geoid. youthful morphology of the raised Johor coastal plains suggests a young, most probably Quaternary age. high sea stand in the northwest was dated at 27,000 21,000 B.P. In the same region the paleo-geoid at 9,500 - 8,300 B.P. was also different at 40 to 60 higher than its position in the southern part of the Strait of Malacca.en_US
