Abstract: The following notes start from the premise that regional cooperation in the field of oral history in Southeast Asia is necessary, as the respective countries are confronted with more or less similar problems. They are situated in the same region with a humid tropical climates; are multi- ethnic in character; possess communities with a higher or lesser degree of non- literacy and even illiteracy; belong to the third world of developing nations.
