Until now it can be said that the interior community of Irian Jaya is still in the prehistoric stage because the resident s do not know yet how to write . The level of development of their culture is still at the stone age level (neoliticum), where the tools they use are still made from sharpened stones. This does not mean that the culture of the people of Irian Jaya did not have contact with other cultures that are more progressive.en_US
