This study focuses on one of the Philippine government's programmes in addressing one of the problems of youth exploitation, sexual abuse. It presents the profile of the respondents, the profile of the perpetrators, what the Bahay Tuluyan has provided for their rehabilitation and recovery, the problems encountered in such endeavor and the measures implemented to address such issues. It hopes to provide solutions to this social disease by identifying the potential perpetrators, the financial contribution that can be provided not only by the government but also by the private sector. It also gives renewed interest on the plight of these individuals who became victims at a young age and are thus, defenseless in their struggle for justice. Finally, this paper provides a unique example of how the Philippine government is addressing these issues and in the process enrich the perspectives undertaken by other states. It contributes not only in providing views on how to minimize the occurrence of such crimes, but also the proper treatment of the victims and the preparation for their future plight into the real world.en_US
