Abstract: In recent years, the UWB technology which can be realized a high-speed large-capacity range wireless communication system attracts attention. The wideband of 3.1 to 10.6 GHz is used in UWB. Over the designated bandwidth of UWB system, there are some other existing narrowband services that already occupy frequencies in the UWB band. Therefore, it is necessary for UWB antennas performing band notch function in those frequency bands to avoid potential interferences. In this paper, the band notch structure is realized by providing a wavelength slot on the UWB trapezoidal planar antenna. The band notch center frequency can be controlled by changing the position of slot and it can be defined by current length from the feed point to inside the slot. Moreover, the band notch bandwidth also can be controlled by adjusting the position of the slot.
