Description: Many hearing-impaired adolescent girls (HIAGs) are failing to meet the current physical activity guidelines and consequently not achieving the benefits associated with regular participation in it. In Iraq, the hearing-impaired girls' adolescents facing several difficulties such as limited in parental and peers support as well as poor environmental services, for instance, not enough sport equipment/facilities and neighbourhood safety, this as a result led to lower fitness and thus failing in achieving sufficient level of physical activity. Therefore, this study focus on improving physical activity level of hearing impairments adolescent's girls in Iraq. The objectives for this study are to identify the critical success factors that could affect physical activity among HIAGs, to investigate the effect of social, environmental, and health related fitness on HIAGs self-efficacy, to investigate the effect of HIAGs self-efficacy on physical activity level, to design the framework of physical activity level improvement for HIAGs to be willing and motivating to participate more in the physical activities. This study involved two phases to develop the framework. First, qualitative study, this starts with reviewing to identify the critical success factors contribute to the problem, this has been confirmed by the feedback gained from interviewing sport's club coaches and school's teachers. Second, quantitative study, this has been chosen to investigate the effects between the proposed variables, in which a questionnaire survey has been distributed among adolescent's girl students in 17 Iraqi schools. 388 questionnaires have been distributed, while only 285 were received, in which usable cases of 270 has been further analysed. Additionally, the researcher measured the physical fitness level by testing participant's body composition, aerobic capacity, flexibility, muscular strength, and endurance. The collected data have been analysed using the partial least square structural equation modelling second generation multivariate data analysis techniques. The results showed that peer influence, parental role modelling, parental support, neighbourhood safety, places for walking and cycling, and muscular strength have a positive significant effect (p<0.05) on the self-efficacy construct. On the other hand, body composition, muscular endorses, and flexibility was found to negatively affect (p<0.05) on the self-efficacy. While, Access to services, equipment access, and aerobic capacity have not significant effect on self-efficacy. Finally, the self-efficacy has been found to strongly affect the physical activity level. Additionally, 76.5% of the self-efficacy has been explained by its indicators, while 16.3% of the physical activity construct has been explained by the self-efficacy predictor. After validating the framework statistically, the researcher conducted a validation interview with a panel of experts for the purpose of verifying the usability and applicability of the tested framework. The results revealed that the proposed tested framework is applicable, reliable, and usable in the hearing-impaired schools. It is believed that the outcome of this study will improve the physical activity level of adolescent girl's. This study provides a theoretical and practical in-depth understanding of the current physical activity level in the Iraqi schools.,Ph.D.
