Description: Kajian ini bertujuan untuk mengenal pasti tahap penghayatan akidah, ketenangan hati dan ketenangan rohani di samping melihat perbezaan penghayatan akidah, ketenangan hati dan ketenangan rohani berdasarkan demografi sampel. Kajian ini juga bertujuan untuk melihat hubungan dan sumbangan penghayatan akidah terhadap ketenangan hati dan ketenangan rohani pelajar Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan di Malaysia. Prinsip akidah yang dirumus dari al-Quran, al-Sunnah dan model penghayatan akidah telah dipilih sebagai kerangka konseptual kajian dengan mengaitkannya dengan ketenangan hati dan ketenangan rohani yang menjadi penekanan dalam Falsafah Pendidikan Kebangsaan dan Falsafah Pendidikan Islam. Kajian ini menggunakan kaedah tinjauan yang melibatkan pengedaran borang soal selidik dan temubual sebagai metod pengumpulan data. Kesemua instrumen pengutipan data telah diubahsuai oleh pengkaji dan disahkan kandungannya oleh panel rujukan pakar. Tahap nilai kebolehpercayaan Alpha Cronbach yang diperoleh bagi semua instrumen adalah tinggi (>0.8). Kajian ini menggunakan teknik persampelan rawak berstrata. Seramai 1520 orang murid tingkatan 4 dan 18 orang guru Pendidikan Islam daripada 24 buah Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan di Selangor, Kedah, Terengganu dan Johor telah dipilih untuk kajian ini. Data kajian telah dianalisis secara deskriptif dan inferensi menggunakan min dan sisihan piawai, korelasi Pearson, ujian T, ANOVA sehala dan ANOVA dua hala dan regresi berganda pada aras (p<0.05). Secara keseluruhan dapatan kajian deskriptif menunjukkan tahap penghayatan akidah, tahap ketenangan hati dan tahap ketenangan rohani pelajar Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan adalah tinggi. Analisis data inferensi menunjukkan wujud perbezaan tahap penghayatan akidah, ketenangan hati dan ketenangan rohani berdasarkan aliran, lokasi, jantina, keputusan Pendidikan PMR dan PAFA. Kajian juga mendapati tidak wujud perbezaan penghayatan akidah, ketenangan hati dan ketenangan rohani berdasarkan keprihatinan ibu bapa terhadap pendidikan akidah. Analisis korelasi Pearson menunjukkan hubungan penghayatan akidah dengan ketenangan hati dan ketenangan rohani berada pada tahap yang kukuh. Begitu juga analisis data regresi berganda menunjukkan tahap penghayatan akidah memberi sumbangan yang signifikan terhadap ketenangan hati dan ketenangan rohani. Kesimpulannya, dapatan kajian ini menyokong teori perhubungan penghayatan akidah dengan ketenangan hati dan ketenangan rohani. Dapatan kajian ini berguna kepada penggubal polisi dalam usaha pemantapan penghayatan akidah dan meningkatkan ketenangan hati dan rohani murid sekolah menengah kebangsaan di Malaysia selaras dengan misi dan visi pendidikan kebangsaan.,This study aimed to identify the stage of the internalization of akidah, soul and spiritual peacefulness, besides observing the differences in those aspects based on the demographic sample. It also aimed to investigate the relationship and contribution of the internalization of akidah towards the soul and spiritual peacefulness among Secondary School Students in Malaysia. The research conceptual framework was based on the principle of akidah formulated based on the Quran, the prophetic tradition and the model of akidah internalization. The framework was linked with the National Education and Islamic Education Philosophy which emphasize on the soul and spiritual peacefulness. The research utilized survey and interview as the data collection methods. All of the data collection instruments were modified by the researcher and validated by panel of experts. The Cronbach Alpha reliability test of the instruments showed a high score of (>0.8). The research utilized the strata random sampling technique. A total of 1520 form four students and 18 Islamic Education teachers from 24 Secondary Schools in Selangor, Kedah, Terengganu and Johor were selected in this study. The data was analyzed in descriptive and inferential manner using mean and standard deviation, Pearson correlation, T test, ANOVA and two-way ANOVA, and multiple regression at the level of (p<0.05). Generally, the descriptive analysis findings showed a relatively high level of internalization of akidah, soul and spiritual peacefulness among Secondary School Students. Meanwhile, the inferential data analysis showed the differences in the level of internalization of akidah, soul and spiritual peacefulness based on the line of study, location, gender, performance in PMR and PAFA. It was also found that there were no differences in the internalization of akidah, soul and spiritual peacefulness based on the concerns of parents towards education of akidah. The Pearson correlation analysis indicated a strong relationship between internalization of akidah with the soul and spiritual peacefulness. Similarly, the data multiple regression analysis showed that the internalization of akidah contributed significantly to state of the soul and spiritual peacefulness among the students. In conclusion, the study outcomes supported the theory of the link between internalization of akidah with the soul and spiritual peacefulness. The findings of the study are useful to policy makers in the attempt to strengthen the internalization of akidah and increase the soul and spiritual peacefulness among secondary school students which is in line with the National Education mission and vision.,Ph.D
