Description: The structural capacity of asphalt pavement layer depends on many environmental factors. One of these factors is the temperature which serves as a significant contributor to several types of distress. Further, temperature is an important component of the design since it directly affects the resilient modulus which is considered essential in the asphalt pavement design equation. Therefore, temperature is a significant factor that affects the performance and life span of the pavement. This research aims to develop asphalt pavement temperature models which can be convenient for Mediterranean climate conditions. To this effect, Stepwise Multiple Linear Regression (SMLR), Artificial Neural Network (ANN), and Long-Term Memory (LSTM) methods were used to develop the models. The study area is located in the Mediterranean area with latitudes ranging from 31° 16 and 31° 45" north and longitudes 34° 2" and 34° 25" east within the Tropic of Cancer region
