Description: Influence of different barometric pressure conditions toward change in dental restorations and crown retention had been reported as a result from the barometric pressure changes. To date, there have not been any papers published to look at the bond strength of a glass fiber post after being cemented with different luting cements in different baromertic pressure conditions. Hence, the aim of this experimental laboratory study is to evaluate the bond strength of glass fiber post after being cemented with self-adhesive resin cement (RelyX„¢ Unicem €“ 3M ESPE) and selfetch resin cement (RelyX„¢ Ultimate €“ 3M ESPE) under normal atmospheric pressure and hyperbaric pressure conditions (higher than normal atmospheric pressure). A total of 40 extracted, single-rooted mandibular premolars were endodontically treated. They were divided into two groups according to the cements used for glass fiber posts cementation. Each group were further divided into two equal subgroups which were the control group (normal atmospheric pressure condition) and the test group (hyperbaric condition). After 48 hours, the pull-out bond strength of glass fiber posts was tested using a universal testing machine. Data analysed using One-way ANOVA with Tukey post-hoc test. At normal atmospheric pressure, the mean value of pull-out bond strength of RelyX„¢ Ultimate cement was 299.7±77.9 N and the pull-out bond strength of RelyX„¢ Unicem cement was 148.5±35.0 N. Whereas, at hyperbaric pressure, the mean value of the pull-out bond strength of RelyX„¢ Ultimate cement was 275.0±73.4 N and RelyX„¢ Unicem was 245.8±46.3 N. The pull-out bond strength of RelyX„¢ Ultimate cement was significantly higher than RelyX„¢ Unicem cement in normal atmospheric pressure condition but not significantly different in the hyperbaric condition. Conclusion, RelyX„¢ Ultimate cement had higher bond strengths in atmospheric and hyperbaric pressure conditions compared with RelyX„¢ Unicem cement. The bond strength of glass fiber posts were also not affected by different barometric pressure conditions for RelyX„¢ Ultimate cement. However, for RelyX„¢ Unicem cement, the bond strength of glass fiber post was influenced by different barometric pressure conditions.,Sarjana Pergigian Klinikal
