Description: Electronic records management (ERM) is a science for managing electronically created records. The implementation of ERM should be guided by a model to ascertain accurate and trustworthy initiative and hinders arbitration, confusion, dissatisfaction and waste of time. The ERM model should incorporate policy, guideline, standards, training and support, and education as suggested by previous works. The main objective of this study is to propose a model for ERM in NGOs in Gaza, Palestine. Prior to proposing the new model, this study seeks to identify the followings: the status of records management practice; the provision of ERM training and support; and determine the policy and guideline for ERM initiative in the selected sample of the study. A survey employing questionnaire as the instrument for collecting data was used for the study involving 3 NGOs with 100 questionnaires were distributed personally between March 2014 until June 2014. The returned rate of questionnaire was 92%. The data was analyzed using descriptive and inferential analysis (frequency, percentage, one sample test, Chi-Square and analysis of Variance) using SPSS version 19.0.The study reveals that majority of the NGOs do implement ERM but without model. The study also reveals that additional factors such as training and support, qualification of the staff and policy are essential to be included in ERM model specifically for NGOs in Gaza, Palestine. This is due to the fact that the NGOs are implementing ERM without taking into consideration the training and support, and education background of the employees hired for the Endeavour. The proposed model could serve as a proper roadmap in the implementation of ERM initiative in the NGOs in Gaza, thus making ERM initiative at par with other practice internationally.,Master of Information Technology
