Description: The purpose of this study was to develop a Hypermedia Reading Comprehension Courseware on a topic entitled Sulphuric Acid for Form Four EST subject and evaluate it to study its suitability and usability. The courseware was designed based on the five phases of: Analyse, Design, Develop, Implement and Evaluate (ADDIE) Design Model while the Macromedia Flash Professionals 9 programme was used to develop the courseware. This study employed a survey methodology with a questionnaire as its research instrument to evaluate the courseware developed. It involved 40 students from Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Perwira (pseudonym). This study also involved 100 students from two schools as a measure of triangulation. Data collected was analyzed using the Windows 11.5 Statistical Package for Social Science (SPSS). A descriptive finding is presented and a summative evaluation is presented in answering the research questions on the incorporation of learning theory, learning strategy, tutorial pedagogical approach and hypermedia annotation in the development of the courseware. Findings show that the samples feel that the courseware incorporates these aspects and that the incorporation of hypermedia features such as text, graphic, audio and visual play a vital role in the development of this courseware and provide a more interesting and meaningful teaching and learning process for EST reading comprehension text. Thus, they find the courseware suitable and usable. This implies that in developing a courseware such as this, the abovementioned aspects should be considered. This study also provides an added knowledge on the development of courseware and pose as a teaching aid that has not been provided for the EST subject.,“Certification of Master’s / Doctoral Thesis” is not available,Master of Education
