Description: | Kajian ini bertujuan untuk meninjau tahap pengetahuan guru pendidikan khas tentang KKTH secara umum, simptom KKTH dan rawatan KKTH serta tahap keyakinan guru pendidikan khas terhadap murid-murid dengan KKTH. Selain itu perbezaan tahap pengetahuan guru pendidikan khas tentang KKTH berdasarkan pengalaman mengajar juga ditinjau selain melihat hubungan antara tahap pengetahuan guru pendidikan khas tentang KKTH dengan keyakinan mereka terhadap murid-murid dengan KKTH. Di samping itu, halangan-halangan yang dihadapi oleh guru pendidikan khas untuk mendapat pengetahuan tentang KKTH juga dikenalpasti. Kajian ini melibatkan 75 orang guru pendidikan khas sekolah rendah di lima buah daerah di Negeri Sembilan. Data-data dianalisis dengan menggunakan statistik deskriptif iaitu min, frekuensi dan peratusan serta analisis inferensi iaitu analisis Anova satu hala dan korelasi Pearson selain transkripsi temubual. Hasil dapatan menunjukkan tahap pengetahuan umum guru tentang KKTH berada di tahap sederhana. Manakala tahap pengetahuan guru tentang simptom serta rawatan KKTH berada di tahap yang tinggi. Tahap keyakinan guru terhadap murid-murid dengan KKTH pula berada di tahap yang tinggi iaitu 3.77. Hasil kajian ini juga menunjukkan bahawa tidak terdapat perbezaan yang signifikan tahap pengetahuan guru pendidikan khas tentang pengetahuan umum KKTH, simptom KKTH dan rawatan KKTH berdasarkan pengalaman mengajar. Selain itu tidak terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara tahap pengetahuan umum KKTH dan rawatan KKTH dengan tahap keyakinan guru terhadap murid-murid dengan KKTH. Namun terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara tahap pengetahuan guru pendidikan khas tentang simptom KKTH dengan tahap keyakinan guru terhadap murid-murid dengan KKTH. Didapati juga halangan yang dihadapi guru untuk memperoleh maklumat tentang KKTH ialah tiada maklumat yang terperinci dan maklumat yang sedia ada adalah di dalam Bahasa Inggeris. Justeru, kajian ini memberi implikasi terhadap guru-guru pendidikan khas agar mempunyai pengetahuan yang lengkap tentang pendidikan khas dan KKTH,This study aims to survey the current level of knowledge of special education teachers about KKTH in general, its symptoms and treatments; alongside the level of confidence the special education teachers have in managing the students diagnosed with KKTH. The study also attempts to investigate the relationship between teaching experience and the amount of knowledge special education teachers have about KKTH. Furthermore, the relationship between the amount of knowledge special education teachers have about KKTH and their level of confidence in managing KKTH students. Moreover, the obstacles faced by the teachers to gain knowledge about KKTH are also classified. This study involves 75 special education primary school teachers in 5 districts in Negeri Sembilan. The data are analyzed by using descriptive statistic which includes min, frequency and percent as well as inferential analysis namely one-way Anova analysis and Pearson correlation together with interview transcription. The result shows that the degree of knowledge of the teachers about KKTH in general is moderate. In contrast, the level of knowledge of the teachers about its symptoms and treatments is high. Furthermore, the teachers’ confidence in managing the KKTH students is even higher which is at 3.77. The result of this study indicates that the period of teaching experience does not show a significant difference in the degree of knowledge of the special education teachers about KKTH, its symptoms and treatments. Moreover, there is no significant relationship between the degree of general knowledge about KKTH and the treatments and teachers’ confidence in managing the KKTH students. However, there is a significant relationship between the degree of knowledge of the teachers about KKTH symptoms and their level of confidence in managing the KKTH students. Two major difficulties faced by the teachers in gaining knowledge about KKTH are the inaccessibility of detailed information and the lack of studies that are documented in English.
