| Description: | The Johor Islamic Religious Department has published the book Empat Puluh Hadis Membudayakan al-Sunnah (Siri Ketiga), (Forty Aḥādīth of Acculturating al-Sunnah - the Third Series) which contains 90 Aḥādīth as references. However, there are Aḥādīths in the book which are not clarified of their original sources, namely Aḥādīth Books. The book does not mention the ruling or status of the Aḥādīth either as a Aḥādīth Chapter or as part of the Aḥādīth in the Aḥādīth Chapter. Most of the Aḥādīth in a Chapter explanation are introduced only in text either in Arabic or Malay (Jawi) script. This gives rise to confusion on behalf of the readers, and it gives the room for questioning their authenticity. The purpose of this study is to determine the status of the Aḥādīths eitherṣaḥīḥ, ḥasan or ḍacīf by using takhrij and dirasat al-isnad methods. This study is qualitative, using content analysis method for the book Empat Puluh Hadis Membudayakan al-Sunnah (Siri Ketiga). The selected Aḥādīths are analysed, using inductive and deductive approaches. The results demonstrate 70.7% of the Aḥādīth is sahih, 19.5% is hasan and 9.8% is dacif. This study justifies the knowledge on the position of Aḥādīth by the Johor Islamic Religious Department and other Islamic dakwah institutions in Malaysia. The implication is that this study may help the instructors explain the sources and also the status of the Aḥādīth they are delivering, apart from assisting the Johor Islamic Religious Department in updating the kitab Empat Puluh Hadis Membudayakan al-Sunnah.,Master/Sarjana |
